Restylane

Fight Signs of Facial Aging

Reveal a younger-looking you

Restylane fillers can be used on various areas of the face to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). Restylane may also be used for lip enhancement or tear trough treatment in patients over 21 years.

What is Restylane Filler?

It is a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid fillers that is specifically formulated to act like your body’s own naturally produced hyaluronic acid, helping to visibly correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, including the lines that run from your nose toward the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds) and the lines that run from the corners of your mouth toward the chin (marionette lines).

Additionally, Restylane filler and Restylane® Silk are FDA-approved for lip enhancement in patients over the age of 21 and are uniquely formulated to give your lips fullness and definition.

The Restylane family of products works like your body’s own hyaluronic acid to enhance facial features and give long-lasting, natural-looking results.

FAQs

What should I expect during a Restylane treatment?

Restylane is an in-office treatment that should take an hour or less. Your injector will clean the areas to be treated and apply a local anesthesia to minimize discomfort. After the injections, you should start to see results in volume almost immediately, with full results visible in two weeks.

What is Restylane recovery like?

Recovery from Restylane injections will vary by person, but you can expect minimal downtime. It depends on the number of injections and your injection locations. Minor redness, swelling, and bruising are common and should resolve in about a week. While you can return to work right away, you might want to give yourself a day or two for any visible side effects to clear.

How long will my Restylane results last?

Most people can expect their Restylane results to last anywhere from 6 to 18 months before you’d need another injection.

How do I reduce swelling and bruising on lips after Restylane?

Swelling and bruising after a lip filler treatment with Restylane are common, and doctors say to be patient with healing times. The swelling might be worse on day two, but should go down by day three. Bruising should significantly improve after one week, but can typically be covered with makeup.

Can Restylane injections damage my eyes?

Injecting Restylane into the tear troughs to fill under-eye hollows is a safe procedure if done by a board-certified doctor or highly qualified injector. Eye injuries, especially concerning your vision, are extremely rare considering the area being treated is below your eyes. For more information, contact our tear trough filler Omaha specialists.
